Totals
Detail — how each total is made up
Illustrative dates. Every figure is one signed-off inspection entry, and a running total written beside a day's figure is never added on.
The job
Knowing how much went in the ground last week meant someone adding up inspection entries by hand, then arguing about which ones counted. Nobody had time, so it was guessed.
What we built
Drop in a week of site diaries and the report reads every inspection entry: metres of conduit, pits by type and service, daywork sheets referenced. It then cross-checks each day against what the crews wrote in their own diary notes.
The finding is the disagreement
Where the register and the diaries agree, there is nothing to do. Where they do not, that is the finding. Work described but never inspected is not claimable yet. The same length booked on two different days needs confirming before it goes into a claim. An inspection raised with no metres against it counts as zero.
How it turned out
One week produced 385 metres of conduit and five pits across seventeen inspection entries. It also surfaced a Friday where crews recorded 44 metres of work and raised no inspections at all, and a conduit run carrying the same 20 metres on two consecutive days. Neither would have been noticed until the claim.
What comes out
A period on one page
Quantities
Metres of conduit, pits by type and service, inspection entries raised, daywork sheets referenced, and conduit per labour hour.
Compliance, ranked
Prestarts, diaries and timesheets rolled up by person and by crew, worst first, so repeat gaps rise to the top instead of hiding in five separate days.
Exports
A self-contained HTML report that emails and prints cleanly, or a CSV for the spreadsheet. Both carry the same figures as the screen.
